With over 130 members, the Ladybug Quilt Guild shares traditional to contemporary quilting techniques, talent and artistic creativity with others through its many activities. There are monthly meetings, quilting bees, bi-monthly block challenges and “quilt in the box” groups. The Ladybugs also participate in several charitable projects such as Delaware Hospice Tree Decorating. In addition, the Ladybug Guild has partnered with the University of Delaware in the “Save Our Stories” program to preserve and document quilter’s stories.

The Ladybug Quilt Guild is chapter #73 of the National Quilting Association, Inc. (NQA). The NQA is a nonprofit organization run by quilters for quilters. The organization was founded in 1970 to create, stimulate, maintain and record an interest in all matters pertaining to the making, collecting and preservation of quilts and to establish and promote educational and philanthropic endeavors through quilts.
